Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn (I also used lace and sock weight yarns). Scraps are great for this project. Start your mornings by closing your eyes, dig into your stash and let your hand be a random yarn generator for that day. If you want a colorful knit but don’t want to get seasick, then alternate with solids/semi-solids and variegated yarns.
