The Adventures in Minis-Land Series is designed as a way to use up all the mini skeins and leftovers most of us as Knitters seem to acquire in large amounts.

ADVENTures in Minis-Land Wrap-ish is the third installment in the series. This piece is designed to use most or all of the yarn in a 24 days of Christmas Advent Calendar. This “wrap” is a super versatile piece that can be customized to use anywhere from 220g to over 500g of fingering weight yarn-and worn in a myriad of styles.

The entire piece is knit in Flat Knit 2 color Brioche, with 1 increase and 2 decreases to achieve the shaping, and includes a button to aid in styling.

What you Need

• 220-500+ grams of fingering weight yarn in a variety of contrasting colors
• US5 3.75mm needles
• 1 ¾ inch shank button
• Darning Needle
• 2 Stitch Markers
• 1 Progress Keeper

Directions are written for an advent calendar plus 1 mini skein. Both 10 and 20 gram standard advent calendars will work well for this piece, the 10 gram size will result in a shorter, but equally cozy piece. The extra mini should be half the size of the rest of the minis from your calendar.

Even though the original sample is done in 25 colors as written, Have fun with this design and make it your own. Use the leftovers from other projects, the half skeins you don’t know what to do with, etc and play with the color placement.

The sample Shown weighs just shy of 400 grams, and used just over 1600 yards. It is 18 inches wide at the fullest point, and is 88 inches long point to point.
