This pattern guides you through creating a stylish bag made from 13 crocheted African Flower hexagons. The finished bag is assembled from the individual motifs and features a sturdy edge and customizable strap options.

Materials and Stitches

The design primarily uses white (100g) and bordeaux (200g) acrylic yarn, though you can use more than two colors for the hexagons, use cotton yarn for a better result.
You’ll need a 3.5 mm hook, scissors, and a yarn needle. Optional materials include metal rings (4 cm circumference), cotton fabric for a lining, and an automatic button.

The pattern uses common crochet abbreviations, including:

  • Ch: chain
  • Dc: double crochet
  • Sc: single crochet
  • Sl st: slip stitch

This pattern contains all the steps to start and finish you bag, from the hexagons to the sewing of the lining (optional).
The pattern also contains three variants for the straps: without rings, with two rings and with one ring.
