This fairisle hat is inspired by the colours and movement of the northern lights (aurora borealis). It uses small amounts of 5 colours as well as a single ball of the main background colour, and is an excellent introduction to colourwork knitting. They are fantastic for using different bits of colours left over from other larger projects and for experimenting with different colour blending. The pattern is fully edited and contains a combination of easy to read charts and written instructions.

Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (2ply equivalent to a 4ply/fingering weight); 105m/25g ball. 1 ball of each colour is required (with only small amounts of Yarns B-F used).
