Aftersome is an asymmetrical triangular shawl, knit from side to side with four colors of DK weight yarn. If you’d like to pair some DK and some fingering weight skeins from your stash, this is the perfect project to combine them!

This pattern features stockinette, eyelets and a dip stitch that really shows off color transitions. The striking border of repeating chevrons shows off the fantastic colors that you’ve chosen. A two color I-cord bind off is the perfect finale for this dramatic shawl.

The pattern includes a video tutorial for the dip stitch so you can take on this new technique with confidence.

Notes
The Aftersome shawls shown were knit with fingering weight yarn held double but could also be knit with DK weight yarn held single.

When working two color sections, carry non- working yarn up the side by always bringing the working yarn underneath the non-working yarn at the start of a row, unless instructed to cut.
