This fun piece uses an interesting construction to create an unusual piece perfect for layering!

The overall shape of this piece is a large rectangle with 2 sleeves worked in the round put in afterward using the same technique you would use for afterthought sock heels.

The pattern tells you to start with a provisional cast on in the center back, which lets you use every inch of your yarn without risking running out. You use 1 full ball of yarn to make half the body rectangle and your 1st sleeve, then you are guaranteed to have enough yarn left with your 2nd ball to make the other half and other sleeve without worry about having 3/4 of a ball left over or running out and having 1 sleeve shorter than the other :)
