Afton beanie is knitted in the round, from the top down. Beginning with a disappearing loop cast on, the crown is then knitted with increases and a three colour pattern. The colourwork continues on the body of the hat, which can be worked shorter for a closer fit, or slightly longer for a relaxed fit. A slyngestrikk braid finishes the colourwork, and lastly a wide ribbed brim is worked, folded and sewn to the inside of the hat.

SIZE: Adult/teen. Finished hat circumference is 50.5 cm, to fit a head circumference of approx. 55.5-58 cm. For a 58-62 cm head circumference, see recommended gauge below.

GAUGE: Colourwork in the round, measured after blocking
19 sts x 23 rounds = 10x10 cm or 18 sts x 21 rounds for a larger size

SUGGESTED NEEDLES and NOTIONS:
4.5 mm needles (magic loop or DPNs) for the crown and body of the hat, 4.0 mm needles for the slyngestrikk braid and 3.5 mm needles for the ribbing. Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

YARN: Worsted wool yarn, approximately 200 m/100 g.

Afton mössa stickas runt, från toppen och ned till resåren. En fiffig uppläggning med en försvinnande ögla inleder stickningen, och sedan stickas mösskullen i ett flerfärgsmönster med ökningar. Mönstret fortsätter ned på mössan, instruktioner ges för att kunna anpassa mössans längd. En slyngestrikk-fläta avslutar flerfärgen, innan mössan avslutas med en lång dubbelvikt resår.

STORLEK: Vuxen/tonåring. Färdig mössa har en omkrets på 50,5 cm och passar ett huvudmått på ca 55,5-58 cm. För huvudmått 58-62 cm, se rekommenderad stickfasthet nedan.

STICKFASTHET: Mätt på flerfärg stickad runt, efter blockning
19 m x 23 varv = 10x10 cm eller 18 m x 21 varv för en större storlek
