Agnes is named for my grandmother who was an expert in wildflowers and always wore a red cardigan with a shirt-collar. The Agnes cardigan is worked top-down with raglan shaping and a relaxing-to-knit broken rib texture. The yoke and body are worked flat while the sleeves are worked in the round. The double-knit collar and button band are picked up and worked once the body is complete. Buttons are sewn on to finish the cardigan. Simple details, like the stockinette raglan lines that flow down the length of the arms and body and the shaping of the pointed collar really bring this design together.
