Ahoy! is a classic sweater with a nautical flair. The simple stripe pattern in the yoke and at the bottom of the body and sleeves gives a hint of navy-style sailor tops, a look which is completed by the separate collar, which can be worn over the sweater.

The Ahoy! sweater is knit from the top down, with raglan increases in the yoke. When all the increases in the yoke have been made, the sleeve stitches are placed on a holder, while the body of the sweater is finished. Once the body is finished, stitches are picked up under the arm and the sleeves are knit in the round.

The navy-style collar is a lose collar which is knit top-down in garter stitch and is closed on the front by a few sewn stitches.

Ahoy! is knit on 3 mm needles, with a gauge of 30 stitches per 10 cm.
