The Aielet top is crotched top down. First a solid panel is made in double crochet to securely cover the bust area. Either following the chart or the written explanation, a pattern is formed by alternating double crochets and chain stitches. An edge of single crochets is made around the whole edge of the garment, both to give it a nicer finish and to ensure it won’t grow too much with use. Lastly four straps are made with chains.

It is always recommended to make a gauge swatch to ensure the that the finished item match the measurements given

10 x 10 cm = 20 double crochets in with and 12 rows in height with a 3 mm hook

If you get fewer stitches in a 10 x 10 area, switch to a thicker crochet hook.
If you get more stitches in a 10 x 10 are, switch to a thinner crochet hook.

Yarn alternative:
If you want a thicker fabric with more support, which at the same time covers more, you can use Mandarin Naturell from Sandnes Garn, in total 150 (200) 250 grams. Do not expect to maintain the same gauge, and the top will end up being a few centimetres longer and wider than the given measurements
