'Aileen' Multi piece set
his collection is designed with a focus on both beauty and practicality. All pieces are knitted on two needles (back and forth), making it accessible to those who prefer flat knitting over working in the round. The main garments utilize a top-down construction, allowing for easy length adjustments and a seamless look across the shoulders.
The pattern includes instructions for five coordinated pieces:
The Top: A short-sleeved sweater featuring a stunning chevron-lace eyelet motif on the body and textured ribbing at the hem.
The Shorts: Designed with a comfortable high-waist fit, these shorts feature horizontal textured ridges that complement the lace patterns of the top.
The Romper: A one-piece alternative to the top and shorts, featuring a classic sun-suit silhouette with the signature lace bodice and a textured lower half, finished with button closures for easy changes.
The Bonnet: A traditional T-shaped or back-seam bonnet that showcases the lace design and frames a baby’s face beautifully with a dainty icord tie.
The Booties: Matching footwear with ribbon or knitted ties to ensure they stay secure on tiny feet.
The standout feature of this set is the Chevron Lace Eyelet pattern. It creates a breathable, airy fabric that is ideal for spring or summer babies. The contrast between the intricate lace and the simple Garter Stitch ridges (used on the shorts and lower romper) provides a modern, tactile finish.
Tip: Because these garments are knitted from the top down, you can easily try the piece against a standard baby measurement chart as you go to ensure a perfect fit!
