The Ainsley Twisted Rib Cable Scarf has many possibilities! It has four different alternate repeats – Alternates A, B, C and D – that can be used singularly or mixed. By adding subtle changes to each 14-stitch repeat, this pattern has a minimum of four scarves wrapped into one! The first sample alternates between A and B every 16 rows, while the second sample alternates between D and C for each repeat.

The knitting skill level is intermediate and above. Knowledge of cables, right crosses (or right twists), and knitting/purling through the back loop is necessary. The pattern is both written and charted (using color coding for purl and twisted stitches) for easy interpretation. There is also a page listing all four charted repeats. Choose a nice DK, worsted, or even Aran yarn to knit this scarf up in any number of different ways.
