This is a great toy for boys and girls. For toys I always use a smaller size needle than what the yarn call for to make sure the filling doesn’t show through the stitches. These airplanes are knitted in worsted yarn but it is always fun to play around with other weights of yarn to make different size of airplane. I use two to three colors for the airplane and they are great project for leftover yarns.
