The Aish set offers mostly full coverage for warmth, but adds a touch of openwork for style. The pattern is specifically designed to work with variegated and feltable yarns so that the style remains evident even with short color changes or if the yarn felts a bit.

The beanie is worked from the brim up. Pattern includes instructions for extending the brim as well as lengthening the hat for added slouch. As with all patterns in the Aish set, the instructions can be used to make a beanie with the openwork angling from left to right as well as a beanie with the openwork angling from right to left.

This pattern is intended for an advanced beginner or intermediate crocheter.
