AJour, a cleverly constructed shawl consisting of two separate pieces and actually gives you 3 different projects to knit from just this one pattern.
First you knit a crescent shawl with a beautiful lace border that is just beautiful to wear all on its own. Next, knit a scarf, which of course can also be worn by itself.
For the entire look of the shawl as shown, connect the scarf to the shawls lace border with ribbons.
No sewing!!! I show you how on Page 3 of the pattern. :slightly_smiling_face:

Measurements blocked:
Small Shawl: 15” in height, 74” in length.
Scarf: 5.5” in width, 76” in length.
Full shawl, all pieces connected: 20.5” in height, 76” in length.

Yarn
C1 - First Yarnology skein as shown “Ebony” color. 238 yards in varying weights colors & textures, see page 2 for detailed explanation.
C2 - Organic cotton as shown here in “Stone” color, a DK weight with 125 yards.
C3 - Second Yarnology skein as shown “Cozy”.
C4 - For the finishing touch, a dark contrast yarn, 10 yards.

This also makes for a great project to use up your yarn stash, especially your leftovers.

Notions used:
US size 6 (4 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm) in length.
7 Lockable stitch markers for finishing.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge:
12 sts and 30 rows in 4” in Garter stitch, counting 15 ridges in Garter stitch.
16 sts and 20 rows in Stockinette stitch.

Techniques used:
Knit, purl, increases, color changes, lace, eyelets, binding off, weaving in ends, blocking and using ribbon yarn to attached the scarf to the shawl with simple triple knots.
