AKELA is a cowl with a hood and is worked bottom up. The cowl is knitted with a rib and the hood which is worked from the cowl as a square in stockinette stitch. A three needles bind off is used for the hood.
When you knit in Rauma’s Tjukk Mohair or Permin’s Bella together with one strand Permin’s Esther the fit will be a little bit more loose than if you choose to knit in Rauma’s Puno.If you want the same loose fit with Rauma’s Puno you need one more ball.
The bind off at the front of the cowl is knitted with two strands and that gives a little more hold to the cowl.

Size: Women one size
