About the pattern
The dress is knitted from the waist down; stitches are then picked up along the waist to finish the dress. At first the dress is worked in a round, after the skirt is finished the dress is worked flat. The ruffles start by the waist in front; and increase in size – with the use of short rows, until they end up at the back. The straps are also knitted as combined straps and band for buttonholes, and are attached overlapping each other in the opening at the back. Akeleie is knitted in one colour, which makes it possible to play around with choices of yarn.
