This top was designed in a creative collaboration between me and Maria João Couto, a.k.a Sabamor_Crochet.

It is inspired by the city of Mafra, the round yoke trying to replicate the iconic Portuguese-style pavement at the entrance of the Mafra Convent, as well as the beautiful ceilings of the lovely library inside.

Why Mafra?
Because when you draw a straight line from Gaia, where Maria João lives, and the Algarve, where I live, the town that sits halfway between us is Mafra.

It is designed to be worked in the round from the top down, featuring a round yoke and short sleeves. After you separate the sleeves, which will be placed on hold, you will knit from the underarm to the waistline hem. To finish the tee, you work both sleeves.
