**pattern PDF updated on August 25, 2019. Hello,
We update the pattern instructions in colors after the First Wing. There were no changes in the numbers or at the text. Only complete all rows with the three colors (blue, red, and orange) to the pattern written instructions after the First Wing to make it easier to follow.
Thank you very much for purchasing Alada Shawl,
I hope now will be better to follow the pattern with the colors all over the text!
Warmly, Paula Pereira

Alada is a crescent-shaped shawl knitted from the top-down (from the back neck towards the hem). At both ends of the wingspan, one at a time, two stylized wings are knitted.
The fade between two colors happens alternating colors at every two rows; the fading between three colors occurs working 1 row in each color throughout.
When changing colors, carry the yarns along the edge as much as possible, avoiding too much weave in ends! Bring the new color of yarn under the just worked color.

Yarn
4 skeins in different colors of fingering or sock yarn (colors: A = 70 yds – 64 m, B = 233 yds – 213 m, C = 370 yds – 338 m and D = 400 yds – 366 m) *** sample shown in:
A = Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% merino wool – fingering weight 420 yds/384 meters) #Birch Grey
B = Fru Valborg Merino Singles (100% merino wool superwash – 100 g = 399 yds/365 meters) #Woodstock
C = Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% merino wool – fingering weight 420 yds/384 meters) #Hygge
D = Fru Valborg Merino Singles (100% merino wool superwash – 100 g = 399 yds/365 meters) #Ash
