After a day of sightseeing, slip into Mimi Seyferth’s knitted and embellished slipper socks. This design was inspired by a pair of slipper socks that famed traveler, artist, and writer Edith Durham was given by mountain tribesmen in North Albania, in thanks for aid given to burnt out villages.

Yarn Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 (100% Peruvian Highland wool; 220 yd/3.5 oz): #8886 Italian plum (MC), 1 skein.
Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 Sport (100% Peruvian Highland wool; 164 yd/1.75 oz): #8555 black (CC), 1 skein.

Needles Size 2 (2.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
