When my daughter and I were watching Netflix, we happened upon a show about animals around the globe. We learned about the most interesting albatross bird! The colors fascinated me and I scratched my head trying to believe that a bird could have the most beautiful, soft peachy/golden colored beak. I dyed a few kits in the Albatross colorway, but also wanted to design a simple hat with slipped and twisted stitches. These diagonal stitches march up around the hat in a swirling fashion. It is lightweight, using fingering weight wool, and would be a quick knit gifted to a male or female. Add a big, glorious poofy pom-pom for the perfect topper!
