Albero is ‘tree’ in Italian, and it is inspired by the bare trees I see in winter in the parks. Albero Beanie is a simple cabled hat that is great for first-time cable knitters. It features lovely trees that merge at the crown to form a flower pattern. The cabling pattern is easily memorised and makes for a quick, enjoyable knit.

Albero Beanie is designed to use one ball (50g) of DK weight yarn, perfect for using up that spare ball of yarn leftover from bigger projects! I’d recommend a solid-coloured or semi-solid coloured yarn with good stitch definition to bring out the beauty of the cable work.

The pattern is for one size, but it can be easily adjusted to smaller or larger sizes by changing the gauge. The pattern gauge knits up a beanie that fits 22” circumference head comfortably. The pattern is charted, with detailed table of the symbols and instructions.

The pattern is personal use only. Do not copy, share or sell the pattern. You may sell the knitted item made using this pattern, with the designer credited.
