This wrap was inspired by our provincial flower and the beautifully tonal yarn dyed by @redfoxfibrescanada named after it.

The Alberta Rose Wrap is designed for that special skein of tonal fingering yarn that you have been holding onto. It will be the perfect summer accessory or you can use a heavier weight yarn and larger needles to make that cozy winter scarf you have always wanted. I definitely want to knit another one in DK or worsted!
It would also look great with tassels at each tip.

A few things to note:

This is NOT a beginner pattern. The decreases at the end are not written out row by row, however, we expect that an intermediate knitter or adventurous beginner will be able to do it intuitively with the few guiding tips we have provided.

Pattern is written instructions, not charted.

Gauge is not critical for this wrap, but in order to get the most length out of one skein, we highly recommend that you get a kitchen scale to weigh your yarn after the increases so that you know exactly what you need for the decreases.

The wrap is knit from tip to tip so you never have more than approx. 60 sts on your needles at the widest point. Shape is a rectangle tapered at each end. (my geometry knowledge tells me it’s technically an isosceles trapezoid. lol)

Approximate Final measurements:
Length of top edge: 67 inches
Length of bottom edge: 35 inches
Width: 9.5 inches

There is a helpful pattern discussion video available on our Cozy Up with the Stitchin Sisters youtube channel. This is not a tutorial on how to do the different stitches as we are expecting an intermediate knitter to know the basics.

Check out the chatter thread in our Cozyupknits Ravelry group for all things Alberta Rose.

We hope you enjoy!!
