This vest has impressive three-dimensional knitted pattern created by open work and twisted stitches. The pattern uses #104 (Alberta) from “Nora Gaughan’s Twisted Stitch Sourcebook” (written by Nora Gaughan, Japanese translated by Tomoko Nishimura).

Starting from the bottom, the front and back are knit separately, and after knitting the side slit, they are joined and knit in the round for a while, and from the armhole, the front and back are knit separately again. The deep slits on the both sides are stylish and cool.

The yarn used in the sample is cotton, but it would be good to knit with winter yarn for fall and winter. Please try knitting with your favorite yarn.
