These summer shorts are worked entirely to your measurements for a perfect fit. First, the waistband is worked flat, then joined and worked in the round for the body. The body uses a modified granny stitch with shaping at the hips. The front and back lengths are independent, so you can customize the coverage to your liking — wear them short in the front with full coverage in the back, or adjust both to your preference. Finished with a drawstring at the waist.

Sizing:
Made to measure. You will need your waist circumference, hip circumference, waist-to-crotch length, crotch length and desired total length. Alternative to taking measurements; you can try on the shorts as you go.

Construction:
Worked flat, then in the round. Waistband first, body worked downward, legs worked separately.

Materials:

• Fingering or sport weight cotton yarn, or a blend with breathable materials such as linen, viscose or bamboo — approx. 225g for the sample pictured (sample made in Perfect Cotton, 100g/250m)
