Worsted weight mittens are one of my favorite things to knit. These mittens feature a double-diamond cable on a background of reverse stockinette. A thumb gusset and a rounded top make them fit nicely.

Skills needed: Long tail and backwards loop cast ons, knitting in the round, basic increases and decreases, picking up stitches, knitting with double-pointed needles, cabling with or without a cable needle.
