Alice is a top with elbow length sleeves and loose fit with a basket stitch background and motifs in intarsia and textured effects.

Instructions are given for either a ribbed or loose hem and this has an impact on the yarn required (see below). In the main pattern photo the pink sweater has the ribbed hem and the white has the loose hem.

Tension: 16 stitches and 20 rows to 5 cm (2”) of the basket stitch.

Construction
- Shoulder seams are joined first and then sleeves are set in, finally the sleeve seams and side seams are sewn.
