Welcome to You Drive Me CrAfTy! My goal is to create fun, easy to understand and functional pieces.

This pattern has everything in it that I was searching for when I was learning to crochet. My goal for this pattern is for you to be able to match my gauge, work this hat and for it to fit the recipient perfectly. I want this hat to meet all of your expectations and be your go to hat pattern. I want you to be creative and to test how far this versatile pattern can actually go.

Within this pattern you can find basic info needed to help guide you in hat making like, gauge, measuring circumference and diameter. Techniques included are how to make pompoms, braids and completing color changes. Different styles included are cuffed band, scalloped band, sc band, 2x2 ribbed band, newsboy brim, ear flaps and mohawk!

Sizing:
0-3 months: 13” - 15”
3-6 months: 15” - 17”
6-12 months: 17” - 19”
1-4 years: 18” - 20”
4-small adult: 19” - 21”
medium adult: 20” - 22”
large adult: 23” - 25”

You MUST obtain gauge in order for the size measurements to work. To check your gauge either start the project or work up a swatch, use measuring tape to determine how many stitches and rows you have per inch. Adjust accordingly (change hook size) until your stitches match up to mine. I tend to crochet loose so you will most likely need to go up a hook size with my patterns.

This pattern was a lot of work for myself and my testers. I wanted it to be free so everyone has access to a hat pattern that has it all. If you are happy with this pattern, the best payment I could ever receive is feedback and photos of your work posted on ravelry. Thank you so much!
