This hat is knit in the round and uses stranded colourwork to create the ‘compass’ pattern on the crown. It is designed to fit low over the ears with around 4cm negative ease. The sample modelled is the smaller (52cm circumference) size and the model has a head circumference of 57cm.
Skills required for this pattern include: knitting in the round, stranded colourwork and working from a colourwork chart.
The yarn used for this pattern comes in 150m skeins for the undyed (CC) colourway, however it will not use the whole skein. If substituting a different yarn or colourway, 75m of each colour should be sufficient.
