The third pattern of A Plucky Paintbox, a set of colorful accessory patterns released between October 2013 and January 2014.

Puckers add textural interest to a colorful, drapey cowl worked in sport-weight yarn. Choose either a single layer or double layer version. The single layer cowl has garter edges, while the double layer version uses a provisional cast-on for joining the two edges (with a three needle bind-off or grafting), so there is no wrong side. This pattern is for the advanced beginner; the instructions are written and include a photo tutorial for making the puckered stitch.

Please note: the pattern does not contain detailed instructions for grafting or three-needle bind-off, as these can be found easily in books or on the web.
