The name of these socks is inspired by the basketweave stitch, as in “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”. There are three sizes available, Small (to fit foot circumference 7”/18cm), Medium (to fit foot circumference 8”/20cm) and Large (to fit foot circumference 9”/23cm) when worked to pattern tension of 9 sts to 1”/2.5cm worked in stocking stitch.
The socks are worked toe-up with a Fleegle heel, and the pattern is written with the Magic Loop method in mind.

You will need:
400 yards (365m) fingering weight yarn
2.25mm (US1) needles for knitting in the round, or size needed to achieve pattern tension
Darning needle (for weaving in ends)
1 stitch marker (for sizes Small and Large)

You need to be able to: use a suitable cast-on for a toe-up sock (suggestions are given in the pattern but no detailed instructions), work common increases and decreases, work from either charted or written instructions (it is not necessary to work from charts to make this design)
