Here’s an easy piece with some strong graphic appeal suitable for discerning gentlemen or ladies of all ages. The pattern features slipped stitches which makes the fabric of the scarf thick and cushy; perfect for keeping necks warm. The pattern is given in both charted and written forms

The finished scarf measures about 66 inches long and 6 inches wide. Gauge isn’t too important as long as the knitting is kept loose so that the stitches can expand nicely.

This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner or intermediate knitter. Consider making the matching socks for a super combined gift!

Yarn recommendations: Worsted weight yarns dyed in a variegated or tonal manner. A solid color would work, of course, but would not showcase the pattern as much. Be sure to choose a yarn that is soft and cushy.
