Samples are a 40¼, fit with a little ease, and were knit with US4/3.5 mm 32 inch circulars as the gauge needle, and US 3/3.25mm for the neckband, hems, and cuffs, using the magic loop method for smaller circumferences such as sleeves and top of the yoke.
Gauge - 24 stitches and 32 rounds = 4 inches/10 cm in blocked stockinette stitch.
24 stitches and 46 rounds = 4 inches/10 cm in blocked garter stitch.
Needles - 32-inch/ 40-inch circulars in size needed to achieve gauge, plus needles one size smaller for the hem, neckband, and sleeve bands.
