A mountain range and snowshoe motif make a colourful hat fit for a day in the alpine.

This slouchy hat is worked in the round from the ribbed brim to the crown. Decrease rows are worked into single colour rest rows between charted stranded sections.

The finished hat is 191⁄2 (221⁄4)”/ 49.5 (56.5)cm around and 101⁄2 (101⁄2)”/ 26.6 (27)cm deep.

Materials:
Yarn: Polka Dot Sheep Stumptown DK, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 212m/231y; 3.5 oz/ 100g. 25g of each MC, CC1, CC2, CC3. Colours used for sample hats shown in chart to the lower right.

Tools:
US 6 (4mm) 16”/40cm circular and double pointed needles or needle size if necessary to obtain gauge. US 4 (3.5mm) 16”/40cm circular, or size smaller than larger needle; stitch marker; tapestry needle.

Gauge:
