Abbreviations:
K …………. knit.
P …………. purl
P2tog …… purl next two stitches together thereby decreasing one stitch.

Mock Cable: MC3
Mock cables are made by following these four steps in the “K3” stitches of the indicated rounds.

1. Slip the first stitch knitwise (as if to knit) with yarn at the back.
2. Knit the second stitch.
3. Bring the yarn forward between the needles as if to purl and then hold it over the right hand needle.Knit the third stitch. (This creates a stitch).
4. Pass the slipped stitch over the two knit stitches and the yarn that was held over.
