With yarn called Drifter and colours called Naples and Barcelona, this cowl was meant to be called “Traveller”.

Because the yarn creates the beauty of the Fair Isle look for you and the pattern design is simple I also felt “Traveller” is a great name because it could be your carry along knitting project wherever you go.

This cowl in it’s simplicity would also knit up well with tweeds and heathered yarn or self striping yarns. Imagine using a gradient for a whole different effect. Take a different route and knit something off the beaten path. You are your own navigator.

And there aren’t even buttonholes! And the cable look in the edge borders is achieved by knitting mock cables. There are two finished sizes to choose from and each cowl only requires one ball of yarn.
