Alpina Dirndl cardigan
The dirndl is finally back. It did take time to revive it after I had to take it down due to exclusivity conflict with PF. Now it’s back, re-written, re-formatted and re-tested. It has written instructions and also is fully charted for those who prefer to work from charts.
it also has all t needed links to video tutorials in case some of the techniques or stitches I used are less familiar.
About the yarn I used for the sample. It’s a high twist dress yarn from my machine knitting stash, but I have found its version for hand knitting on Ebay ( see below). This is probably the best yarn for this project as it hold the weight of the peplum the best.
I did try 100% softer acrylic and the fabric is too limp to support the weight of the multi stitch decreases of the peplum. Sock yarn should work well, especially if it has polyamide/nylon or something similar in its content.
