Easy, fast, and textured Christmas stocking “Alpine” pattern.
This crochet stocking pattern is simple yet textured, modern and despite looking intricate it is really easy to make.
I love how one stitch can look different when it is crocheted with different types of yarn or different weights of yarn. I have tried the FPcl- front post dc cluster stitch for a hat with hand-dyed yarn before and I was not impressed, but while searching for the right stitch to use for my “Alpine” crochet stocking in one of my crochet stitches books- I can say that I love how this stitch worked out with worsted weight yarn.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in 2 colors

For the sample, I used Bernat premium in green color and cream color.

You need 70gr of your main color and 50gr of the color you will make the toes, heel, and brim.

Hook size 6mm/ US crochet hook size J

Tapestry needle

1 stitch marker

Pair of scissors
