“Altered Course” shawl is knitted sideways, and can be worked either in a single color or two colors.
The pattern does give directions for a ‘Basic size’ and a ‘Large size’

My sample in the first photo (Basic size) has been knit with 744 yd - 680 m total of fingering weight 100% wool (437 yd – 400 m on 3.53 oz – 100 g) and needles size 4.0 mm - US 6.
Color A (dark color) = 263 yd – 240 m
Color B (light color) = 481 yd - 440 m
