Alva sockor feature a simple yet beautiful textured pattern made up of knit and purl stitches, along with asmall cable. The socks are worked in fine yarn on thin needles, and with their excellent fit, they quicklybecome a favorite in your wardrobe.Alva socks are worked from the toe up. You cast on stitches using Judy’s Magic Cast On, then knit in the round with increases to shape the toe. Once you’ve reached the correct number of stitches, continue knitting in the round until you work a few increases at the sides to accommodate the height of the foot. Next, the heel is worked using short rows. After the heel, a few decreases are made to improve the fit of the leg. You can choose the length of the leg yourself, and finish with a few rounds of ribbing.
