The Alvar hat is knitted with two strands of DK weight yarn held together and the brim is folded triple for extra warmth and coziness during the winter months. The hat is knitted in 1x1 ribbing with some decreases at the top.

The Alvar hat is designed for everyday use, and it knits up surprisingly fast. You can either go for a muted look by using just one color or go for a marled look with two different shades of yarn.
