The Amapola Shawl is a design for learning how to join as you go in crochet, and can be worn both in Summer/Spring and Autumn/Winter season, depending on what materials you want to work with.

Construction Notes:

This shawl has a construction composed of a body and a border made of Granny squares.

The body is worked Bottom-Up with a Triangular shape.

It is worked flat, for the border you start working from the lower end.

It is done with a Fantasy Stitch called “Balanced Shells” from the book “Indispensable Stitch Collection for Crocheters” by Melissa Leapman.

Once the body of the shawl is finished, make the lace granny squares, they are worked circular.

Make them one by one and in the last round, using the “Join as you go” technique. This way you will avoid seams.

This pattern contains written instructions and a chart of the body of the shawl.

It is also accompanied by a step-by-step video tutorial so you can finish your project successfully. All video tutorials are in Spanish, even so, you can use these videos as support to make the pattern because it shows everything you need to know. By watching the images and putting automatic English subtitles to the videos you can use them as support when working in this pattern.
