I made this design inspired in family photos and it was made as part of the costume for the play “Two girls” or “Dos niñas” in spanish. It is being show in Monterrey’s theatre city.

Tutorial for a granny square crochet bonnet. This pattern was used as part of the costume for the play “DOS NIÑAS” (Two Girls), currently being shown at the Teatro de la Ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León. It’s beginner-friendly; it’s a single piece that is knitted from the center to the edge for ease of use.

MATERIALS:
50g of medium yarn (2). I used Meta cat yarn and Tibsa angora yarn. You can use any other yarn that matches the correct tension from the test chart.
3.5mm crochet hook for the bonnet and 4mm for the strap
Markers
Scissors
Yarn needle

MEASUREMENTS:
Bonnet height from neck to top: 26cm
Bonnet width around neck: 43cm
Strap length: 140cm
