Knitting pattern for a slightly fitted sweater with a round neck and a lace pattern all over the sleeves in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL

Structure:
The sweater is worked top down with raglan increases in stockinette stitch for the body and in lace pattern for the sleeves. But first you start to work the sweater back and forth in rows to shape the round neck with a few additional increases. As soon as you have closed the front parts to the round, the yoke is worked in rounds: you continue to work the lace pattern for the sleeves and in stockinette stitch for the body. After the sleeves are separated from the body, the sweater is finished in stockinette stitch in rounds and finally with a hem in 1x1 ribbed pattern. Afterwards, the resting sleeve stitches are picked up and the sleeves are worked in lace pattern until you reach the desired length. Before the ribbed cuffs you will work in a bunch of decreases for a slight, balloon- like shaping of the sleeves. In the end, stitches are picked up along the neckline and the round neck is finished with a collar in 1x1 ribbed pattern.
The fit of the sweater is close to the body and can be worn with a positive ease for a more relaxed fit or with a negative ease for a tighter fit. If you are in between two sizes, choose the smaller size.
The highlight of the sweater is the lace pattern with diagonal stripes all over the sleeves creating a breezy and interesting summer look.
