Thank you very much for purchasing this pattern! I really do appreciate every one of you that does! I wanted to make a relaxed-fit cardigan that had a little bit of a feature on the arms. I love the cables on this and I hope you do too!

Measuring yourself:
To work out what size to knit, measure around the largest part of your chest, not too tightly, and that’ll give you what size to knit, for example, if you measure your chest at 36 inches, knit size C, if you want a smaller or larger fit, size up or down accordingly.
You will see I don’t include measurements in my patterns for lengths, this is because we are all different shapes and sizes and I very much believe in trying to make your garments the right size for you! Therefore, I highly encourage you to regularly try your knits on.

Construction:
The Amelie is a top down raglan cardigan. The yoke is knitted flat with raglan increases, and then the body and sleeves are separated. The body is then knitted flat. The sleeves are both knitted in the round and then a button band is added, with optional button placement.

Materials:
Chunky yarn that matches the gauge
7mm circular needles with various cable lengths
Tapestry needle to sew in the ends
12 stitch markers, at least one contrasting one for BOR
Stitch holders

Yarn recommendations:
The pattern is knitted with a chunky weight wool, so it is nice and warm and snuggly. I used WAK The petite wool in the original sample. In testing a variety of yarns were used, these include: Loops and Threads Eco-Cozy, Knit picks might stitch bulky, Sirdar Imagination Chunky.
