These tiny hearts are surprisingly easy to make. They make great practice projects for those wanting to learn different shaping techniques for crochet. The finished hearts also make great gifts. All three sizes are included in the PDF pattern.

  • Large Heart: 3.5 in (8.8cm) long, 8.5 in (21.5cm) circumference at largest section.
  • Medium Heart: 3 in (7.6cm) long, 7 in (17.7cm) circumference at largest section.
  • Small Heart: 2.5 in (6.3cm) long, 5.25 in (13.3cm) circumference at largest section.

You will need 1 skein each of Rico Ricorumi Rose #008, Red #028, and Raspberry #013. Additionally you will need a tapestry needle and stuffing.

If you cannot find a 3mm crochet hook you can use a US D (3.25mm) hook instead. However, you will take more care to keep the tension tight if using the larger hook. As with most amigurumi, matching the given gauge is not important so long as the resulting fabric is tight.
