Pattern for an amigurumi mawile. Gauge is not really important. Finished project should be about 8.5 inches tall. It has about 28 separate pieces. Head is worked in in the round. Body and one leg are worked in one piece in the round and then yarn is reattached to add the second leg, also in the round. Feet and arms are worked in the round. The stem and one half of the carnivorous plant are worked in one piece with the stem being in the round and the bottom part worked across. The yarn is then reattached to work the other half of the bottom in short rows and then attached again at the other end to work the part that attaches to the head in the round. The red portions of the carnivorous mouth are worked across as are the bangs in the front. The teeth for the mouth are worked in the round. I considered this projects an intermediate level because of all the shaping, pieces, and sewing together involved. Mostly only requires knowledge of single crochet though, so the individual pieces aren’t that difficult to make. It should not be too difficult for an advanced beginners or a beginner with experience with amigurumi and sewing pieces together.
