This is my favorite pattern.

Make a whole flock—each one will have its own personality. A sheep is cheerful to have at work or on a shelf at home. These sheep also make great Christmas ornaments.

I’ve used these sheep as little gifts—for instance, for someone who needs cheering up or is sick. An encouraging word or Bible verse could be included.

If you have an amigurumi nativity set, a flock makes a great addition, and children can handle them without worrying about breakage (I plan to publish a nativity set of the right scale 2013).

Please be aware that there is a brief stint of extreme crocheting to avoid sewing, but it’s all carefully explained with diagrams and pictures. There is also a Plan B if you don’t want to do unusual crochet maneuvers.
