Knitting instruction describes absolutely new way of socks knitting. Although the Amimon Maritime Socks use some elements of my Turkish wave pattern, the pattern of the socks includes new and interesting ideas. The sock is knitted starting from the heel. You can find many different sock patterns where the socks are knitted from the heel, but my method of knitting has little in common with all previously described.

The cast on used for the socks is “Magic” cast on method. You can see this video with English language subtitles at my YouTube channel to understand what is “magic” cast on. Magic cast on metod is described in detail in this article.

The pattern consists of colored stripes worked in garter stitch.
“Amimon Maritime Socks” are very soft and elastic, they gently hug the foot.

Instruction is very detailed and well elaborated. A lot of attention was paid to a detailed description of each step of knitting - starting from cast on, knitting of heel, toe and all parts of the socks.

Instruction is supplied with plenty of photos and detailed explanation of all difficulties that may be encountered during knitting.

The pattern was successfully test-knitted!

It is necessary to use two sets of circular needles, 60-80 cm long (longer is better).

Amimon Maritime Socks size:
minimum size of ready socks (with recommended needles size and yarn weight) is nearly 6 for UK, 8 for USA and 37 for Europe. The maximum size is not limited – the knitting scheme allows you to make socks as big as you want, not depending how tight your knitting is. The pattern doesn’t depend on the knitting gauge. The pattern and knitting method are designed so that you can adjust the circumference of the sock, the length of toe part, and the length of leg part during knitting.

You can change the color of stripes as you wish to produce bright and varied patterns.
