This slightly asymmetrical triangular shawl takes its inspiration from the gentle textures and varied hues of sand. ‘Ammos’ means ‘sand’ in Greek, the nationality of the dyer who created the subtle, tweedy, and silvery yarn used for the sample. In the design, a field of sand-like granules is edged by a decorative border with a bold braided cable and smaller eyelet mock-cables.

An intuitive and addictive knit, this accessory flies off the needles, thanks to fully written-out directions with stitch counts as well as a schematic and an easy-to-read chart.
